Course Overview: |
|
This
presentation will focus on issues surrounding burnout
and its many dimensions. This particular presentation
is designed specifically for those in emergency
medicine: physicians and non-physician caregivers as
well as allied professionals in health care. We will
review the latest concepts and definitions of the
syndrome we refer to as burnout and discuss tools for
its actual measurement. We will review the various
factors contributed by both individuals and their
organizations that predispose to burnout. We will
discuss therapeutic approaches and other interventions
for both individuals and organizations. Specific issues
pertaining to emergency physicians will be discussed. |

Methodology: |
